I'm thinking about upgrading to eyefinity but unsure what the differnce between these differnt card (and the xx50's) is Whats your reasoning for getting the card you got, links to benchmarks, prices etc? |

I bought the 5970 because I feel it gives me the best performance over time. I don't like upgrading cards often. It fit in my budget so money wasn't much of an issue (of course I would have liked it cheaper). I felt it has the most robust build. It's not quiet, but not excessively loud either. I can run any game in eyefinity at max setting and it doesn't break a sweat (so far). |

I got a 5870 because the 5770 isn't really powerful enough to drive 3 screens at 5040x1050 resolution IMO, and the 5970 was $800. The 5870 at $409 - $50 Bing cashback brought the price down to $360 at Tigerdirect. |
