I've heard that it's not good to use hdmi cable longer than 3m. so be careful with that.
I would suggest you to build a new (less powerful) media pc for your TV if you can afford it.

I have a lower PC, but it is going to stay when I move... it's complicated. Don't think my wife would want another PC.
Because windows 7 allows the installation of more than 1 video driver to the system. XP does aswell but u cant get Eyefinity with XP

Hmmm I wasn't aware of that, is there a specific version I need? (I guess it doesn't matter, I have pro and that should be enough for anything).
