Hi Everyone

Just bought a Asus HD6950 2GB and three Benq 21.5 G2222 monitors

First 2 monitors work fine connected through DVI

If I plug the third in using the display port adaptor, then on boot, only the first monitor works, then by the time windows has loaded, none of them work

Even I plug the mini port adaptor in with the power off on the 3rd momitor it causes the same problem.

This was the adaptor I bougt http://www.scan.co.uk/products/scan-mini-displayport-11a-to-dvi-d-single-link-adaptor-cable-pc-mac

Have I done something wrong, wrong adaptor?

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Thanks

Hi , I'm sorted on this now - post took nearly 24 hours to be approved and published so I had to hunt down info elsewhere

I'd bought a passive adaptor rather than an active one

Yes, it's most likely the wrong adapter. THis is the #1 most asked issue in this forum for the last 2 years. The adapter needs to be labeled as ACTIVE DP.
