You can check it out here.... not sure if it's still available, though.

I mean the Monsters, if the ones i ordered (and still dont have..) dont work properly, i'm going to get the Monster ones :)

You could check http://kabeltje.com they dont have it under DP adapters but they are official Monster dealer, so send them an e-mail.

Something else: is saw in you sig you are planning to X-fire a 5870 EF + normal 5870? Keep in mind that 5870 EF has 2GB memory and the normal has "only" 1GB. I don't know what X-fire will do with this.. Guess it would be better to get another 5870 EF

This Post sheds so much light on this friggin Eyefinity :)

Ive recently got a DP->DVI Cable (didn't find much info regarding active/passive dp before that..)

got 3 monitors
1 Zalman 22"
2 x Samsung 22"

2 Monitors Currently connected with DVI
when i connect 3rd Monitor to DP->DVI , the CCC Panel shows it - but i can not duplicate - when i try to do so it requires me to "disable" one monitor

anyone knows if its even possible to do a 2 X DVI and 1 DP->DVI on the 3rd Monitor?
ill go and grab the DP->VGA but in the meanwhile would be thankful if anyone could help out

thanks!

Actually he should get the Toxic 5870 with a 2GB frame buffer, it'll be better by far. QuadFire chokes in eyefinity. TriFire, not as much.

In order to activate Eyefinity as a Group, you have to have all but one monitor disabled. Then create a group and then, select the layout of the Eyefinity group that you wish to end up with. Once you proceed from that point, you'll be able to establish the order in which the monitors produce the image.

But, I, personally, won't hold my breath on any DP->DVI adapter working well. I think there must be a reason the active adapters are so hard to come by and that would be due to so many problems keeping the signal stable.

Now, if all you're wanting to do is have three monitors active at one time [without Eyefinity group], I believe you want to select EXTEND rather than duplicate. IF that's not working, then you likely are using a PASSIVE adapter and that won't work to allow three monitors to be active at once. Only the DP->VGA adapter....or a monitor that has built-in DP input will allow it.

To all of the replies on the last page:

Thanks for the info, I don't need those 2gb that much since i only have 6x 1280x1024 screens.
Crossfiring a normal 5870 with an EF one actually cuts the ram in half :)
If i go up in res, i might think about more, but there currently is no game that uses more, and the 3d apps i'm gonna use it for rely on the PC RAM.

Rig is half finished atm, everything is there, apart from the water, 6 more GB and 1 or 2 more graphics cards (whenever the funds allow me.. got a maxed credit card to pay before the wife finds out :hide )
got the 980x up to 4,6 ghz on too much volts, and stable at 4,5 ~72 celsius

Anyway, i'll drop kabeltje.nl a mail about the monsters tomorrow!
