Fully understandable. You got two of the most powerful cards in the world and they were underutilized in Quad and the driver support was a joke. Seems that Shane got his eye opened and now they actually do something about it. Lets hope this continues, because it can be a good halo for ATI if they put some effort into the ultra high-end, even if the userbase is small.

I've installed and uninstalled the TwL drivers using the info in the .txt file that he uses with the drivers. Its been no problems going TwL -> ATI WHQL and ATI beta -> TwL again. ATI_shit_cleaner that he created works well. Normally I hate using sweepers, since they can create more problems then they solve, but this seems to work nicely.

Since I use vista 64, I had to manually install the drivers though through device manager by putting the modded .inf files into the W7 drivers directory (the 10.8 beta's are for W7, but he modded them for Vista). I also got crash in BFBC2 with the ATI Stream/OpenCL package he included, so I had to uninstall that part. Besides this, the drivers seems very stable and I got a HUGE boost in Stalker CS with single screen!

Hello all, been a long time reader to this forum, but first time poster

I also have had horrible flickering on my eyefinity rig as well and could not use anything higher than Catalyst 10.3
anything higher and i would get horrible flickering etc etc that has been wiedly noted on these forums.

However since updating to 10.7 i have not had a single flicker or anything such. 18 hours and counting. No note in the release notes. but all seems well so far.

ATI HD 5850
3 Princeton PTFBHF-22RW Monitors using the accell Active Adapter.

Here is hoping all stays well.
Good Luck To All

Hardware acceleration in VLC (1.1.2) and on the machine in my sig (4650) causes a crash after maybe 4 seconds. Standard render works fine under 10.7 though.

With the new 10.7 drivers, can anyone confirm if the need to apply an extended profile twice after coming from a spanned profile in order to realign all the monitors back into the correct position?

I can confirm this. Some times I have to do it 3 times or more as well. I lose windows too.

Just did a fresh install of Win7 64bit this time (on a external HD).

Installed the 10.7a and wow, my mem problem/disc trashing/lagging has disappeared.

DIRT2 is going somewhere to the 69-70fps average with 70-80% GPU utilization. But it will (same as on 32bit) always hang the PC after running the internal benchmark.

RFG is blazing now.. sometimes 99% utilization on all four GPU's. Very playable with 60fps average.. sometimes dipping to 30fps when detonating like 20 remote charges at once..

Very Pristine OS at the moment so there are not that many games installed. But i'm very curious about Metro2033 and GTA4.
(and also curious what happens when i'm going to slap an extra 4G's of memory in the system.. 8) )

Am I reading your sig right that you have three 5970s, and only getting 70fps in DIRT2? Max settings with some AA?

Another major disappointment - While the flickering is SLIGHTLY reduced, can't load any games with drivers older than 10.3

Still hard to accept to pay US$600 for a 5970 to only have a windows desktop on 3 screens without any gaming possibilities; this could have been done with any two low-end cards.
