Thankyou for the modified driver for 76Hz......works great :D

Still unsure though if this can damage the monitor in any way though, most say it can't and back that up with some seemingly knowledgeable explanations while other say it will hurt the monitor....... :?:


Well the Dell specifications rate the monitor at 1680 x 1050 75Hz publicly. I havn't read anything about anyone damaging their monitor in this way and I did read through a lot of threads regarding this.

If your unsure its better to run at stock 60Hz settings for peace of mind.

Thanks for the modified driver for the 2209WA, works for me on a 5970 with 3 of them, 1 through an active Sapphire adapter.

i just ordered 3x 2209WA and an adpter from Dell.

this is the adpter:
passive dp-dvi


so my question, this is gonna work at 5870 @ Eyefinity ?? :doh

ill use in portrait mode :rockout

I thought the controllers in most LCD displays step the refresh rate back down to 60Hz even if it's higher?

méh, ill buy an active adapter :(

if you don't mind VGA, you could try that. It'll work b/c it is an active adapter. It's horribly cheaper, but you have to deal with an analog signal.

thanks for the heads up , but i already bought the accell active adapter, i dont wanna try again other adapter and did not have sucess, since im live in brazil and dont have this adapters here. ill wait for 20~25 days to receive the active adapter :doh stupid brazil :nudgenudge
