i made a new edid file.

when i didnt use the monitors as group (only cloned or expanded desktop) they worked perfectly with 1280x720. only in a group i was limited to 3x 1920x1080.

my main problem now is how to get back to the status before ;)

im trying to upload the files later.

You can just uninstall the monitor drivers using device manager to revert back to your previous setup. The driver is not digitally signed so windows will revert to one that is or the default supplied with the operating system.

i tried that, but when i restart my pc the one at dp-vga port still remains dark and the other one has now cursor.

as the one with dp-vga doesnt appear there is no way to uninstall, why the curser stays away is a miracle to me.

The dp - vga projector no longer appears in device manager?

Did you try reconnecting it to the displayport while the operating system is active?

It is possible to remove the registry information for the EDID using Monitor Asset Manager looking under Display ID's for your modified EDID name string and click view and registry then deleting the Key but I would check your connections first.

i attached an 19" tft for testing with dvi-vga adapter (tft has only vga input).

it runs fine at his nativ solution, however as soon as i insert the dp-vga adapter now the curser on my tft disapears. and no, the projector with the dp-vga adapter doesnt apear in the device manager when i connect it.

i tried to reinstall windos7 but my raid controller driver gets rejected every time now (same files i did setup the system 1 month ago, same usb stick) ... i dont think it is connected to my problems with the ati card but at the moment im realy screwed...

I would uninstall the ATI driver 10.1. Download driver sweeper http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ Restart and go into safemode and run driver sweeper and remove ATI files found. Go back into normal mode and install 8.703 driver http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=315404 which is based on 10.2 and is a solid driver.

The act of uninstalling the display driver also has the benifit of reseting the displays and will revert you back to the original EDID. Reinstalling windows shouldnt be required.

one restart later my dp-vga projector was gone again, another restart later my curser too.

i also tried it with 10.1 again after deinstalling and cleaning with driver sweeper, but the same happens.

awesome feature that eyefinity stuff ;)

------

finaly its working again. i had to make a fresh win7 installation.

thats it for me with eyefinity, i will try to get a matrox triple head for 720p and sell the 5870.

When I first ran eyefinity I had the missing curcur as well.
With my three monitor setup such as 1-2-3 the cursur would not appear on 1 that was the monitor with the windows start buttun so obiviosly yhat was a problem.

What I found was if I moved the cursur from 3 to 2 to 1 it would dissapear when it got to 1.

However if I moved the cursur from 2 to 3 and kept moving in that direction it would reapear on 1.

Try that and see if it works. After I did that I recreated a group using that method to make the mouse cursur work on all three.
