Crossfire isnt doing so hot in my system, I finally get everything up and running flawlessly just to figure out crossfire and eyefinity still dont like each other. My gaming experiance is so much better with just 1 card active, 2 cards active I get massive stuttering and or screen tearing in just about every game I have tried, while 1 card with eyefinity is fantastic. I know other people have mentioned this I just thought this issue was ironed out. I installed the crossfirex profiles that came out with 10.2.. its not a huge deal seeing as 1 card seems to be handeling everything but I still hope they iron out this issue.

I am pretty sure that wont be the case, unless they make a change. If you had a 512 4870 and a 1 gig 4870 they would both only use 512.

Yeah, as the contents of the VRAM are mirrored between cards (unless ATi have done some awesome tricks with their memory management and card communication in the new gen cards) then if you pair two cards with different amounts of VRAM, they'll only use the amount the lowest capacity card possesses.
