can u tell me what to do for 3840x720 ?.. i never made workarounds like EDID.

i have an 5870 and 3 acer 5360 projectors with 720p. 1 via hdmi, 1 via dvi-hdmi adapter, 1 via displayport-vga adapter.

all projectors are found by the card and identified correctly, when i use them "normal" as expanded or cloned desktop i can choose 1280x720 for each - no problem so far.

but when i group them i only can choose 4 resolutions and have to use 5760x1080. so at the moment i have 100% more pixels to render and my beamers have to scale the image back to 720p what degrades the image quality. i realy cant understand why the ati driver dont support a lot more resolutions...

so if anybody can give me a littel guide how to fix this i would be realy thankful.

also recommend doing a google search on modifying EDID as it appears that somehow the incorrect information is being passed by the adaptor or there's just some corruption of the EDID information in general as resolutions that should have no problem being displayed aren't working right?

This looks like the most promising solution for me but that link is dead (something to do with the forums newer SEO URIs?). Does anyone have a working link? Searching for EDID masks gives almost no relevant hits on Google. :(
