Welcome, Nice setup and have great fun. Well you are lucky to only get flicker every 15 minutes. Mine starts of by flickering often and then after a few hours it gets less to a point where i don't have any. Don't know the reason for this.

Well, with the active DP->DVI adapter that I have, I don't have this flickering issue. Only odd issue (sort of) is that when I power up my system, one of monitor stays in standby mode, I'd have to hit the power button to switch it off, then I switch it on again and it's fine. I'll post a pic or two of my setup when I've finally align the monitor perfectly, still a little off right now....looking around for a 3x 24" WS monitor stand, only model available now fits 3x 19" WS LCD's.

Sweet to hear it does actually work. Good thing they have cheap HDMI and dvi cables, too. Now i can triple-display with my three not-all-all matching displays.

I can confirm that Eyefinity is working with the HP DisplayPort To VGA Adapter (AS615AA) at 3x 1680x1050 without any problems at all. I just got one in Germany for 11€ incl. shipping.

Guys I joined this forum to respond to this thread. I have ordered the adapter mentioned and it did not work with resolutions above 1280x768. Anything higher and the screen would show scan lines, sort of like what happens when you are trying to tune in an old tv that is getting signal via antenna.

I tried 3 differently shielded cables, 2 5870's, 3 20.5" Samsung monitors capable of 1680x1050, and I went out and specifically purchased 3 Acer 23" monitors capable of 1920x1080.

I'm very upset with this whole Eyefinity setup. The best I can do is with the Apple adapter. The Dell adapter is horrid and only works for a few min at a time. The Apple will not work with 1680x1050 for me so that is one reason I bought new monitors. The Apple adapter at least works rock solid @ 1920x1080 but has problems recovering from a resolution change when I create the display group. I have to unplug the usb and plug it back in for the adapter to recalibrate itself, otherwise I'm stuck at 640x480.

I wish ATI would pull their heads out of their rears and either get an adapter out for us that works or make a card with a different connector on it.

Just curious-
What power supply are you running?
Single 12 volt rail, or multiple?
Amps per rail, and total amps?

I run single rail, 60 amps and have none of the problems you mention with either DP-VGA, or Dell DP-DVI adapters pushing 3840x1024 on 19"-22"-19".

Thanks

Rosewill BRONZE series RBR1000-M 1000W Continuous

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182188

4 12+ Rails @ 30A each

I put each card on a separate rail. I've had the USB plug of both Adapters plugged into the motherboard, a separately powered USB hub, and into an AC adapter. I do not have the cards overclocked. Everything on the system works flawlessly except for Eyefinity. I've been reading elsewhere about a bios update that ups the driving signal to the displayport. I may try this when I get home tonight to see if it solves my problems.

I can confirm that the DP to vga adapter from monoprice works with three 21" monitors running at 1600x1200 resolution. Here is a post of the setup that I made on another forum.
