If you use any VGA connections is bezel compensation always disabled?

I have a Dell 2007wfp 20", and a Dell 2209wa 22".

As is, I already can't do bezel comp with 2 monitors as ATI sees the different sizes, even though the res are the same.

If I get the Sapphire DP>VGA adapter will I be blocked from using bezel management even if ATI loosens these stupid restrictions?

I'm thinking of selling the 2209wa and looking for a pair of 2007wfp's.

Short answer: No.

I'm using three identical ViewSonic 24 inch LCDs and a DP->VGA adapter. Bezel compensation is working flawlessly here. The restriction is due to the difference in your panels.

You need to install the drivers for your screen, so you get above 1600x1200 on the DP -> VGA screen first. If the resolution ain't available for windows, it ain't available for Eyefinity either. :)

I cant find any drivers for my screen, I just have the Generic PnP Driver installed for all 3.

No, I have two connected using DVI -> DVI; and one using DP -> VGA. My screens are all identical.

You might try Removing all the monitors from the Windows Device Manager and then reboot and let Windows re-detect the connected ones. You might also go into Device Manager and do a Driver Update for the monitors and see if Windows detects any newer drivers. Other than than, check the manufacturer for any specific drivers.

I turned on my PC this morning and its sorted itself out and I can now confirm I have bezel management working with a Sapphire DP > VGA adapter and 2 DVI, all3 identical monitors. I can tell that the VGA monitor has slightly different colour to the 2 connected by DVI.
