| Post subject: | Mass Effect 2 Cinema Mode widscreen fixer HELP |
Hi, I am new to this forum and need help getting widescreen fixer to work. Every time I change the aspect ratio for mass effect 2 to 2.39:1 (cinema mode) the game crashes when I open a save game. I follow the plugin instructions on right of the window and I see the fix is enabled but the game ends up crashing like I said previously. I am not sure if I need to change the resolution setting of widescreen fixer but any help regarding this matter would be most appreciated. Also if I posted in the wrong forum board I am sorry. [*]My monitor is an asus 1080p 16:9 monitor [*]I have nvidia inspector + sweetfx working for mass effect 2 [*]I am not sure if you need to know this but im using an overclocked gtx 680/ intel i5 processor. Also I purchased mass effect 2 from best buy and not steam or origin. Thank you, johndoecentii |

Steam/Origin/Retail have different binaries (aka executables) and is the reason it crashes... Currently I only have the Origin version (digital distribution) and I cannot make it work on any other version. I know it sux... In the future I will try to add support for retail versions as well... Btw have you tried Flawless Widescreen? https://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/ It is a big change it will work;)) |
