Hey guys, sorry for creating a separate topic for this. But it seems that FOV hack by Racer_S isn't working, I guess that Vista Ultimate 64-bit is to blame. Anybody had any luck running the FOV tool on 64-bit OS'es? |

Hi, same problem here. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. The FOV hack doesn't seem to work. Is there any solution to this by now? << sorry for reviving this old thread, but it was the only one I found, searching for the problem with the FOV tool for Silent Hill 3... |

Hello people. I've just installed this game on Windows 7, 64 bit version and the hack is running fine. I noticed in the readme it mentions Visual Basic runtimes. I think I already had these installed but maybe this might be worth trying? |

Wonderful !! Thank you very much @ thewool :bowdown I installed the visual basic runtimes and now it works fine for Windows 7. Unfortunatelly I hadn't kept the readme for this hack but only the exe ... so I wasn't aware that it needs Visual Basic. So here is what you've got to do to get it running: 1) Download and install Visual Basic Runtime 2) Run Trainer/Hack - enter Width Field of View: 0.91 / height Field of View: 1.1 (correct values??) and keep it running. 2) Edit options if needed 3) Start Silent Hill 3 4) Press Numpad * to enable new FOV settings |
