What resolution was the Bravia?

Try to reset the resolution settings: As the console starts, hold the Y button and pull the right trigger.

The bravia is a 52" lcs while this monitor is 24" both wide screen.

I will try that And update this post when I do. I did that did nothing.

(wish i had some other hdmi porduct to test so i can see if its the port or something

Go in and change the output on the 360 to 480i or 480p/Widescreen, and see what you get, then change up to 720p, and then again to 1080i. I don't remember for sure, but I don't think the Dell monitors take 1080p over HDMI (which is the main benefit, and purpose of HDMI anyways.) It might be set to 1080p output and as mentioned, the Dell monitor might not like that. Try lowest settings, and see if you get anything with that, and then step it up.

Cant change those settings on my downstairs tv as I use composite cables to hook up to it. and well im getting a new monitor today from them will see how it works.

If it doesnt ill try what you said. but if it dont take 1080p through hdmi its usless to me.
