Never used one of these, no idea how to find and change the "AEA54-AEA55" opening the dll as instructed to change FOV. I normally use 1680x1050 on my HP A7217A widescreen CRT, so what FOV should I use? |

Well it is talked about in the Helix solutions thread, but after trying out the training level, I don't know if I can stand the heavy bobbing in this when he crouches etc. I don't remember the first SOF being like this. |

They're hex addresses (he's talking about this here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/ 1. Download XVI32 as directed, start it and open the file: cgamex86.dll. 2. Once it's open, from the menu select: Address -> Goto. 3. Enter AEA54, it will highlight a little square (this is 1 byte in the file). 4. Type: "3930" (without quotes). It should overwrite the two bytes you need to change. 5. Save the file. That's it. |

thanks. Now I will have to find out if I can disable the horrible bobbing in it. I have never seen such sickening movement and I played Descent 3 back in the day. |

thanks. Can't remember the cvars, but bring up the console and punch in "cvarlist" then "condump" and it'll make a text file with the cvars listed. Open that file up and search for "bob" and put those settings to 0. (zero) |
