Hi,
I want to play Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors on my new Samsung 226BW. The problem is that AoE2's highest resolution is 1280x1024. Native resolution of the monitor is 1680x1050.
So I would like to play the game with two big black bars on the left and right side and small black bars on the top & bottom.
But when I simply start the game (with 1280x1024 configured) it fills the whole monitor and the picture is streched (=ugly).
How can I tell the monitor that I want my black bars?
I already tried to switch off the "Scale Image Panel to Size"-option in the ATI Control Panel, but it didn't change anything.

Graphics card is a Radeon 9600 XT, connected with DVI to the monitor.

Thanks for any help!

Isch
