I've been going through my old games collection and ran across the Star Wars: Episode 1 movie tie-in game. I remember playing this "back in the day" and am wondering if it supports widescreen to any extent. If it doesn't, I'm not even gonna bother installing it.

Thanks in advance. :)

Nah - I tried it many moons back when I first got a widescreen; nothing. I guess it might be possible somehow (.exe hack), but my cursory examinations didn't lead to any possible solution...

Was that also available on the Playstation? I think I remember playing that one on the console. It was with Obi-wan and Qui-Gon?

And Padme and Panaka and Jar Jar...

Yes. :)

Lego Star Wars was about fifty times better... ;) The only level I actually liked in the Ep I game was the first one where you're Obi-Wan going around the droid ship...

Ah! That's the one all right. I did play through that one. Pretty fun game, but the control drove me nuts, hehe.

edit: that actually brings up some fond memories. If I recall, this was one of the first star wars branded games to tie in with the new prequel. even time magazine reviewed it too, stating unabashadly :) , "the force is with this game"

If the Force was with that game, I want to know why it was so cack... ;)

It was a cool game! The camera sucked and I died way too often, but it was overall pretty fun... especially with cheats.

It was OK, I guess - I just found it uninspired and boring. Not a good start to the new game franchise... ;)

I know it was pretty funny. Now that I think of it, it might have been Newsweek rather than Time, but it was still kinda cool, what with all the hoopla and excitment surrounding the new SW movie.

They were covering everything and anything star wars, and one of their staff writers played it and reviewed the game, along with another SW release (still can't remember its name though - it might have been that Pod Racing game)

It definitely had camera and control issues, but I just loved swinging the lightsaber again. :)
