Depends how he did it - things can change substationally even between minor revisions....

Hey guys ... HaYDeN and joker0222 ... welcome to the forum ... :D

@ HaYDeN
Great work on your FOV fix ... :twothumb
I don't have the game yet so I can't test it but it does look good ...

Does the addressing need to be shown ?
I imagine it will confuse many people ... most would only need the FOV and the Helmet value fields ... no ?

Anyway ... cool stuff ... 8)

also ...
It looks like they fixed the FOV ... see this post by SiRkIt ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=18382&p=184028#p184028
But I like your helmet positioning ability ... :D

Why not try HaYDeN's fix ?

I posted my question before HaYDeN.

But i had to wait for approval by mod.

EDIT: I tested it, but it don´t work for me.
i can start it, and it finds BS2.

but i can´t make any change.

i start the game, then Alt+Tab and start the fix.
Back to the game, pressing * and then 0 on Numpad for FOV.
But nothing happens, when i press + or - on Numpad
Numlock is on.

Same with helmet adjustments.
I have Win 7 64 bit.

@joker - did you try the latest version? [Update to support 1.001 - http://www.mediafire.com/?qgwzmtznzne]

is this the retail version or steam out of interest? 1.000 or 1.001 [check the EXE properties to find out]

Ehh? I still don't follow your logic. By looking at the post patch image, it looks like 16:10 will get the most viewable picture as that is the biggest box in the picture. If not, then I think that representation on the picture was made illogically.

You quoted my post but missed the part where I said "(The text is also backwards for 16:10 and 16:9)"

They simply labeled them backwards.

Those pictures on the bioshock website dont make any sense. 16:9 vs 16:10 shouldnt allow you to see more the horizontally, only vertically, yet in their picture, 16:10 has more horizontal viewable area but the same vertical height practically as 16:9. Whats goin on? 2k doesnt seem to know anything about widescreen :hide

It's all right. The pre-patch images are accurate and the post-patch images are correct. The only problem is that they mixed up the label for 16:10 and 16:9. 16:9 is wider than 16:10.

Dopefish the 16:9 screenshot they used for that example is obviously prepatch. 16:9 could get wider depending on how they implement it, which is largely up to the soul programmer that has it assigned to him.

It's just what I said.

The patch is out and it's exactly what I said. :)

If you used 16:9 before, there is absolutely no difference post-patch.

If you used 16:10 or 4:3 before, you now see less.

i Have the retail version.
now, i tested the updated version. but no change in the end.
i play version 1.0 of the game because i have some problems with the patch

if i try your updated tool and choose 1.000, nothing happens and the values for FOV and Helmet doesn´t change.
if i choose version 1.001 i can change the values in the gui of the tool with +/-, but there is no effect in the game.

my native resolution is 1440x900

Strange, the only other thing I can think of is something changing the module base or some other influence, does your hardware support and run in DX10? anything that changes/influences the memory addressing will break it.
