[quote][quote][quote]Found this on another forum. Works great on a 2405.

Create a file called autoexec.cfg and paste the following into it. Then copy it over to your q4base folder. Works great on my 2405.

seta com_allowconsole "1"
seta r_customheight "1200"
seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_aspectratio "2"
seta g_fov "110"
seta r_finish "1"
seta cm_backfacecull "1"
seta image_usecache "1"
seta image_usecachemegs "256"
seta image_usecachemink "3072"

You can change the resolution to 1680 x 1050 if you prefer.

I try this solution with my dell 1600x1050 but i have a strange result:

It should be 1680 not 1600. Maybe that is the problem.

thx u!!! works perfect now! 1680x1050! i have re-change the fov to "90". No deformations.

So should I be changing the fov and the usechace...etc or just the aspectratio mode width/height console?
i'd like it for 1680x1050

Can you try adjusting the detail level and seeing what happens?

Well I set that up in the autoexec.cfg as I'm running 2Gig of RAM. I'll report back how it works!

Works great by my frames are sure down from 16x12! In the two print screens I got 44 and then 22 under heaving fighting.

The 'wide' res will have a performance drop, but I didn't think it'd be 50%, maybe 25-30%, though. :? Also, I'm not sure just how much help the 'r_finish' cvar is - it forces a GLFinish of every frame; exactly what impact that will have, I'm not sure...

When is the rest of the gaming world going to climb onboard the WIDESCREEN train and give us a F***ing resolution of 1920 x 1200!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of us widescreen gamers always having to climb inside the mysterious gaming files and alter shit.

I mean it's almost the year 2006, we sent men to the moon almost FORTY years ago and they can't code in a simple freaking screen resolution for Widescreens!!!!!!!!

USA has gone to shits!!!!

From now on make games at the North Pole and let the eskimos have a crack at gaming software, couldn't be any worse.

Activision and others, PULL YOUR HEADS OUT!!!!!!
