@super12
It seems like you have a "purely 3D rendering" problem. If you have the latest drivers then drop back one or two versions, if you don't then get them.
I looked at each of yer pics, they would be hilarious if it wasn't such a pain.

General update;
ATI 12.1 is working realy smooth on my system.. realy great.

Skyrim 1.1 (still in offline mode), Win7x64, 2x 5870 (CF on), 3x 26" w/1920x1200 (5760x1200), No LAA, 2 data MODS (Sky relacement pics and controlmap.txt for key binds)

Oh, and HaYDeN's .9 fixer-upper.

Runnin' like it should have out of the box. Grrrr..

Skyrim is disregarding the bezel compensation I set up in Catalyst Control Center. (It's also happening for Portal 2. However, Trackmania seems to work just fine, so it may be application dependent. Both Skyrim and Portal 2 are running under Steam.)

Bezel compensation does work when I'm at the desktop. The mouse pointer disappears under each Bezel. But when the game launches, no luck. Running Skyrim Ultrawide fix for the menu's doesn't help either (but I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with it anyway).

I just installed the latest Catalyst Drivers, and still no luck.

System:
Windows 7, 64 bit

Card:
MSI 6950 TwinFrozr

I wasn't able to find anything about this issue yet. Sorry if this has already been answered. Otherwise, has anyone else experienced this?

What resolution have you chosen in the pre-game setup screen?

In my case, my non-corrected resolution is 5040x1050 and my corrected is 5292x1050. My desktop resolution stays at 5292x1050 all the time.
In the setup screen, if I choose 5040x1050, it will not use bezel correction, but if I choose 5292x1050, it will be bezel corrected.

I would check this first of all.

Hmm, just tried your 5292x1050 recommendation and Skyrim responds that that resolution is not supported. So I had to set it back to 5040x1050, which at least runs the game. Strangely, I cannot see any resolution options in the drop down list even though I have the .ini file set to: iSize H=1050, iSize W=5040. I wonder if that is part of the problem?

I've also set it to iSize H=1200, iSize W=5760 (which is the maximum resolution of all 3 of my monitors) and though the game still runs at this higher resolution, the bezel compensation is still ignored.

When you right click on your desktop and choose Screen Resolution, what does it say the resolution is?

Try putting this in the .ini file. If you put in 5760x1200, it will not take into consideration any bezel correction. It will need to be 5XXXx1200, whatever it says your desktop is at.

Well the check is in the mail...That did it! This was the answer.

I probably never would have figured that out since I was assuming the desktop resolution was 5760x1200. Checking the settings as you suggested showed the resolution at 6016x1200 (likely adjusting for the extra space of the bezels).

Now it's just a matter of figuring out how to scale the resolution down a bit for better performance. Likely just a ratio thing.

Good to hear. I'd recommend leaving the resolution and playing with other settings to increase performance. I heard turning off AA (anti aliasing) helps performance a great deal without touching any other settings, but play with them and see what works for your system.

Glad to be of help.

I have a theory on the CTD. I have had very rare CTD, only 3 in 80 hours of play. But my video card(s) are 6850s with only 1GB vram. Is it possible that the exectutable image is larger for cards using more vram? And if so, is it possible to limit the vram used by the cards?

It seems the WSGF is getting more crashes than the population at large; I also suspect they have better graphics cards than most.

Anyone with 1GB cards getting frequent ctd?

For sure this is an issue. Which is why many of us run LAA patches and I never CTD anymore when using it.
