Sure wish they would get to it. I run my monitor at 1600x1200 and it stretch's :( Though the FOV is the same as anyone elses monitor running at various sizes (Compared it at a LAN last week)

There's a new widescreen thread in the EA forum:

http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=190972

Drop a post there if you haven't already. ;)

I think everyone should re-send an e-mail to dice telling them to look here that benchmarks are starting to include widescreen tests but one of their best games still don't truely support widescreen with FOV adjustments.

If want something fixed, you have to ask for it.

Please email the developers of Battlefield 2 at the address below. Put "Fix Widescreen Support in Battlefield 2" in your subject line, with a short, concise note stating the need to do so.

The more widescreen weenies they hear from, the more inclined they are to address this.

Done!

explain to me how the solution posted is not good enough?

is it because the FOV isnt set automatically (like FEAR) and cant be adjusted manually (like DOOM) ?

or is it because it is a Vert - solution and not a Hor + ?

should we be yelling at all the Vert - solution'd games for not having real widescreen support?

I'm actually asking here. Are all the vert - solutions that bad?

edit: whoa i think i understand now. reviewing all the games i have installed and made to work in widescreen, that's the only one that's a Vert -.

Max Payne 2 and Warcraft III don't have any support at all. Could we bitch to get support for them as well so I dont have to run with bars?
