I've been trying to get a widescreen fix for "Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow" for a while now. The usual .ini changes don't seem to work on this game. If anyone could recommend some work around I'd really appreciate it; the fix worked for the first game and it really made an enormous difference.

By the way, these games are fantastic. I just finished the first and it looks great on a modern system and is a good a gaming experience as I have had with any title. Give them a try if you haven't, they are tense, stud-spy fun.

***UPDATE***
I found a post on the forum (not the official WSGF fix which does not work) that allows for a 1680x1050x32 setting. It involves putting a command line in the .ini and using a key to activate the change. Search "Pandora" and you can find it.

But now I have another question - when using the night vision goggles is in supposed to be wildly pixilated? Not just black and white and grainy, but "blocky" and low quality? Having just played the previous game I know that it did not look this way. If it looks bad for everybody and that's how the game is supposed to look I guess my problem is solved. Otherwise, I guess I need a fix for the night vision mode now.

The NV problem is present in non-widescreen resolutions as well. So I would say there is nothing you can do.

If you want a permanent fix for the resolution you can open up the core.dll file for the correct mode (online, offline) with a HEX editor and find the resolution list. Pick one to change and you are good to go. Just select whatever resolution you changed in-game and you will get your custom.

I will try and do a DR sometime with the FOV fixes for Hor +.

Thanks for your response, that actually really helps, knowing that.

In this case I can report that at least in my case the posted "Set A Key To Change The Resolution" workaround does get you a widescreen, and the choice the designers made with the night vision being full of crazy jaggies was goofy.

Thanks again.
