No WS support.

I did find a config file in My Documents. It does have screen resolution, but when you alter it and try to run the game, the game will give you an error and force you to set it to a 4:3 resolution. I tried changing it back to 1920x1200 and then make the file "read-only" and now that game will give another error because it can't alter the config file.

Sigh...

:(

Why you dont read the old post about godfather???

A write a solution to that...

Maybe the admins/moderators dont read the forum because they dont had this to the solutions... they also do the same about my solution (half) to «total overdose» game...

so I just keep geting info and stop posting solutions..

for the guys who asked about how to enter a costum resolution just:

1. Click on Start then go to Run.
2. Type in regedit and click OK.
3. Left-Click once on the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
4. Left-Click once on the plus sign next to a folder labeled Software.
5. Left-Click once on the plus sign next to a folder labeled Electronic Arts.
6. Left-Click once on the plus sign next to a folder labeled The Godfather the Game.
7. Left-Click on the Video Settings folder and we want to edit the Size X and Size Y.
8. First double click next to the Size X and change the value to 1360 then click ok.
9. Second double click next to the Size Y and change the value to 768 then click Ok.
10. Now you can close the registry editor.

I can't find the place (reg, ini, etc) where we can change fov h+ in order to have real widescreen and not fov V-... sommeone knows if the ps2 or xbox versions have true widescreen? if the console versions have fov h+ is just a question of tweacking...

P.S.- Sorry about my very poor «english»...

I'm not sure I follow you.

To my original post, I was an idiot. I must have gotten this confused with another game. When I checked the game later, I did have widescreen resolutions available. There was no need to mess with the registry on this one. (unless I am confused again... which is quite possible
:? )

First off I understood that widescreen resolutions were available in the game ... :?

Secondly ... if you found I had missed your posts you could send me a PM ...

Thirdly ... I don't see why you couldn't have posted in the other thread for Total Overdose ... :?

But mostly most importantly you can always post solutions yourself in the Solutions section. (re-Total Overdose)

I'll add your info about The Godfather to the solution page ... :D

As you can see in the little tut, it says how to add custom resolutions, he also uses the res 1360x786, which might not be chooseble in the game... (well, that's what I make of it  )

guys:

I tried to enter the «solutions» in the correct section but I can't post there (read the my post on original godfather thread...)

The custom resoltion tip for godfather was useful 4 me because I cant pick my NATIVE resolution in game menu

The «total overdose» «half-solution» at least let me use my native solution (but i can't make the game widescreen) >> is streached... :(

I belive that all games that have a ps2 version can be played in ws in a pc (ok, i don't know how! ;)

The highest res. this game goes to is 1600x1200. Even if you cahnge the config. It's an EA game, and so just like the sims 2 it has a max resolution unfortunatley. You can force 1920x1200 but all that happens is you end up with viusual problems with the border and such tings. I tried setting it at 2560x1600 and ended up back to 1600x1200. No matter what. Perhaps the Jusr cause solution will work here. By the way you can have 1680x1050 form with in the game, so you only need to figure out how to get 1920x1200 and above.
