Hi to you all!

I've just registered to say thank you Wobak for this awesome mod u've done here. I've tried custom resolution method in the past, but for some reason (maybe I did it wrong or something) the results with your mod are far better.

Today I wanted to try the game again because of the sad news that were published today in Kotaku. It seems we'll have to stick to the existing versions of these awesome games for some time because of corporate bullshit, so your mod is gold.

As zeyrok mentioned before, it would be nice to have a similar solution working for Contract JACK as well. I know this game is not as good as NOLF ones, but its still part of the saga, enjoyable and with a lot of action. I can help you testing, if you like...

It would be nice that the story could be continued, maybe mixing up the characters of all games in NOLF 3. But that will probably never happen due to the IP stuff. Sad.

Anyway, ty again. You rock :rockout:

OFFTOPIC: When trying to run NOLF 2 I came across some weird sound issue. It seemed that the game wouldn't want to play any sound in the game but music. I literally sweeped the internet for an answer and I didn't find any solution that worked on my system (compatibility modes, disabling hw sounds etc.). The thing was that Contract JACK worked perfectly, without any compatibility settings! Then I realized there was a file named SndDrv.dll in both games, so I overwrote NOLF 2 one with CJ's version and voila! Now the game works as it should. I hope this info is useful to someone in the future :)

If only I could make NOLF 1 work, I've hadn't the best luck with that game. Client MFC appcrash every time I run it. I tried every combination possible and no luck. Small black window opens and then the crash. So I coudln't try out your mod there.

Using Windows 8.1 64-bit.

I have a slight problem here: I cannot set my monitor's resolution 3840x2160 from the display-menu. If I do so by editing display.cfg, the game just crashes on start.

Any hints?

So i'm running with 3x16:10 monitors with 5040x1050 resolution without any major problems. Just applied the fix. I'd say the multimonitor works fine.

Fov is on 145

EDIT, Additional screenshots:

The menus. That seem to be working fine:

Cutscenes have a weird stretch to them depending on the camera zoom (i'd guess). Looks like the it stretches the horizontal when it zooms in.
In this screeshot it looks quite normal though.

This maybe a huge annoyance. Holstering weapon creates gray triangles on the edges of the outer screens.

Thank you very much for the feedback :D I think i fixed the coutscene stretching already.
The holstering bug looks like there is some model intersecting with the camera plane. im not sure if that can be fixed. does it happen with all weapons?

I was originally going to release a new version a year ago but stopped working on it because the game crashed on loading most of the time.
I may upload the next version with automatic fov and (mostly) correct menus in some weeks.

about crashing in 3840x2160: all resolution that are supported by the renderer should be displayed in the menu. if you cant choose your resolution there and ste it in the config, the game will crash. Im afraid that cant be fixed without modifying the .exe but maybe someone will do that in the future.

Good to hear that it's possible to fix the cutscenes. The game looks so drunk during those.

The holstering bug is happens only while you are not equipped with anything. All weapons and gadgets thus far gets rid of it. I'm holding stuff like lockpicks in hand instead of holstering.

I've also noticed that item PickupMessage is displayed way too far right, it's only half visible. I tried to pull it back with a negative "RightHUDPush", but that only moved other parts of the hud.

Ok I know I'm going to end up looking stupid but I can't get this to work.. I fail at step 2:-

2. Run the launcher, click on "Custom" and check "WidescreenPatch"

I can't find "Custom" to click on anywhere, where is it? All the options I see are Play, Display, Options, Uninstall and Quit:-

What am I missing?

Make sure that the directory you put the file is following:

\Custom\Mods\widescreen\WobaksWidescreen.rez

The directory doesn't exist, you'll have to make it yourself. If the filepath is correct, the "custom" will appear in the launcher.

HI, i wanted to thank you for your great work !
I also have another question : would you mind if i post your patch directly on PCGamingWiki ?
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/No_One_Liv ... M.%27s_Way

The file is already linked here : http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/No_One_Liv ... resolution
But i need a 'reliable' (and direct link) source for the file to be allowed to be downloaded from playonlinux (http://www.playonlinux.com), which mediafire isn't.

Again, big thanks !
