Except you'll have to activate their movies first, and be able to play them on only three players. Har har.

How many good game movies have there actually been?

On the other hand, if Ubisoft want to try losing money hand over fist, who are we to stop them? Having said that, though; if they market it well to the console players, possibly as a 'fills in the blanks between the games' thing... they'll sell like hotcakes via XBox Live/PSN digital download.

And with the DRM and no refunds, Ubi will be laughing all the way to the bank.

I think this is a trend we will see expanding to other developers. I know that Valve have stated that if they were to do a movie, it would be in house. And that has been said by Blizzard as well... we could well be seeing the beginning of Developers getting into the movie business and vice versa.

Edit:

Oh, Tom Clancy is a must + Assassin's Creed.

Kiefer Sutherland for Tom Fisher anyone?

PoP: Sands of Time was awesome.. but then anything with Gemma Arterton is a win in my books..

Postal was epically funny

and of course Milla's on going kill fest with the Umbrella corp. never fails to be fun.

as long as Uwe Boll dosen't get his hands on a game movie it's fine.
