Hi everybody,
Could you please clarify for me the following?
A. First, what means that an Hor+ game is not 21:9 ready? That while it's viewable area can be expanded horizontally all the way across the monitor-width, it's fixed vertical FOV can not span
the entire monitor-height, thus creating horizontal black bars?
As an example, FSX (with the 'widescreen' option set to 'true') appears on a 21:9, 2560x1080 monitor with two horizontal black bars. So, is this happening, because of
the game's incompatibility with the 21:9 mode? and that if it were compatible, those two bars would be replaced instead by more of the game's viewable area vertically?
Is there a way around this?

B. With FSX again as an example, using three 1920x1200 monitors in a multiple-monitor portrait set-up (via N-vidia surround mode), I used to get a huge 3600x1920 actual, expanded
(not just the same small area as on a 1920x1200 distorted or streched), viewable area of the sim, both horizontally and vertically with no black bars whatsoever. A really immersive
experience.
Now, before proceeding to buy a 4k monitor, I'd like please to know the following:
Will I be able to get a correspondingly EXPANDED viewabe area of the game, if I run it at 3840x2160 resolution on a 4k system (4k monitor, proper card, HDMI 2 etc)?
or I will get just the same viewable content as on a 16:9, 1920x1080 monitor, only much more crisper?

C. Same question as above (B.): if I'd run the game on a 21:9 monitor/system at 3440x1440 resolution?
Thanks in advance,
sonam
