If the commercial was showing what is in the game then I would buy it.

So no.

Nope, for a number of reasons. I've ranted elsewhere and will probably rant again in other threads so I'll keep it short here:

Conditions that *might* motive me to purchase SC2:
1) Full Hor+ support for widescreen and multi-monitor
2) Restoration of LAN functionality
3) All 3 parts of the game in one box for <$20

Although videogame sales are in a slump, expectations for "Starcraft II" are high. Blizzard's parent company, Activision Blizzard, has spent more than $100 million developing the computer-based game.

That is a lot of cut scenes.

Summed it up for me.

That better be for the cutscenes. Otherwise they spent far too much converting SC1 to 3D.

So I made a topic about this on GS... some people just don't get it.

Already pre-ordered it to get in the beta a while back so I'm gonna be at my local gamestop at midnight. The lack of LAN is troubling but not a deal breaker for me. I don't really care about triple wide support for RTS games since I wouldn't play in triple wide anyway (just doesn't work well for games like starcraft). I loved the gameplay aspect of the beta (the game is just fun to play, period), hated what they did to battle.net 2.0, and have mixed feelings about the new custom game system. Hopefully they iron a lot of that stuff out.

As far as pricing goes... all new Blizzard games have been $60 since Diablo 2 at least... this was debated in another forum and beaten to the ground when someone produced proof that Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 were both $60. The next two installments will be priced like expansions, so there's nothing new about the pricing scheme at all. Asking for $20 for all 3 is just silly - good luck with that.

I see that my list might have been a little misleading. The all-in-one box has nothing to do with purchasing power but rather my interest level in the game. At some point in the future I expect a SC2 Battlechest to be released, and 5-10-20 years from now that product might go for $20. It is *maybe* at this point in time that I will purchase the game.
