Benchmark downloadable, and screenshots. Looks like there's no AA though :( ugly but very cool all the same. Let's hope they make it playable without a 360 controller. (Although i do have one for GRID & SFIV)

The AA goes up to 16xqc and it indeed does make a difference in both look and performance.

It will have mouse support. And as pointed out in teh TH section, it's HOR+ for single screen. Yay.

I'm hoping for LAN and/or Online Coop.

It's not the technical details but the gameplay that many have complained about on the console versions. Then again, many liked it too, so we'll see I guess. I just hope it's only a 2 month wait vs it getting pushed back. I really liked the atmosphere and gameplay of RE4 PC.

I got use to the aim, shoot and move mechanics once I started using the Mouse Aim Fix/Keyboard Replacer mods, which are essential on the PC version IMO. I also used the texture mod that brings the graphics up to their full potential, which made it look way better.

The only thing that makes me skeptical about RE5 is there's been talk of too many swarms of infected and a dumbed down speed of the AI behind you because of it. It could also mean much less opportunity to use the special melee moves you could do with Leon in RE4, like the roundhouse kicks and suplex slams. That was half the fun of RE4.

Well i've played the console version (on i think normal difficulty) with a mate, and we'd both never played it before, had no idea what we were doing and we finished it in 2 sittings in about 10 hrs total. The melee stuff was pretty good. But the boss QTE stuff was kind of lame. Though... you don't "just" use QTEs to defeat them... but the rest of what you have to do is generally timing and problem solving of normal buttons as well. Still enjoyable.

Also running away from everything to survive is almost "too easy". Though you definitely have to do it, a lot.

I really really hope they don't ruin the online co-op by using GFW-Live like with Street Fighter 4. :(

What about unlockable sp content Yogi, does RE5 have any? I'm talking about like the ones in RE4 Assignment Ada that was a several level mini game.

All Resident Evil games have had unlockables and most have mini-games. (far as i've seen)

new costumes and a new and improved mercenaries mode with three times as many enemies.

Hopefully that's not all, but it's something. Apperently the console versions have a fair amount so i guess it's safe to assume PC version will, I already looks as they took much more care in making this PC version.

Capcoms PC ports have been great since they started doing it in house. RE4 and another game (DMC3?) were ported by a contracted company and thats why they are well known to be some of the worst PC ports ever made.

I think the studio was Source-Next, or something like that, besides RE4, and DMC3, they also ported Onimusha 3, which was just as bad as the other two games they ported to the PC.
Thank god Capcom started doing it in-house now :D

Yeah it's definitely a game you could play through a few times just to try and get all the unlocks without even upgrading everything. I know i was addicted to just upgrading my base starter pistol.... (which is a bit sad)

Then i got addicted to upgrading my sniper rifle... ooo single shot bolt action goodness. (I know this is probably the wrong way to describe the base sniper that you get early on, but i'm not a gun nut :()
