It's an adequate Telltale game, but not a very good Monkey Island game. If the LucasArts adventure games are like a trilogy of epic big budget action/adventure/comedy films, Tales is like a quickly and cheaply produced sitcom spinoff.

Basically, if you've played any of Telltale's previous games, this is just like it.

Its pretty much like Monkey Island 3. I've played both seasons of Sam&Max from telltale, so I am familiar with the games. :)

Storywise, nothing beats MI 1&2 IMO, but I'm a sucker for point and click adventures and this was fun as well (though way too short). Looking forward to episode 2.

Meanwhile, I bought Ceville (another point and click). Played the demo and it seemed funny :D Downloading it now (from Steam again currently on offer, dangerous thing this Steam).

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I like that adventure games are back, but I wish some other developer was spearheading it.
