Maybe try changing (or forcing) vsync and/or triple buffer settings in your video drivers. For the most part, if you have one on, then you shoudl ahve the other. But i've seen both setting do some strange things to framerates.
Have you tried the offficial forums? Surely you're not the first to experience this,.
Just checked and both are off. I'll try it with them on, but I doubt that will somehow give me better frames lol.
Edit: I stand corrected. This cleared everything right up! Thanks for actually suggesting something helpful!
[quote]Where did you get FEAR 2 from?
No, F.E.A.R. is what I'm talking about, and that alone. I updated(not installed the sequel) and now it has major frame rate issues.
Didn't I just say if you're talking FEAR 1
vs (meaning as opposed to) FEAR 2? It being FEAR 1 makes my point all the stronger, because an X1950Pro will handle it easily even though I'm on AGP and my single core CPU is a slight bottleneck.
You're a genius. I just have to start by pointing that out. Just don't reply to my threads anymore.
I already said that I can play the game great if the game is not updated, but the non-updated version of the game does not support wide screen.
not to mention
thales100 with a
much better system than I, saying he has the same issues. Obviously proving it is not the video card.
So either stop replying in my threads altogether, or stop trying to make a point about the damn 1950(Which I also have) VS the 2600, especially when it has
nothing to do with the issue.
