The 3D view doesn't appear stretched ... just vert- and hor- ... the HUD though seems to have some elements stretching.

Well, I heard from a colleague of mine who has "acquired" the game :lol: that the game has to load really often if you enter a new part of the game and the loadtimes are really long.
