I keep having the same error message while trying to run the demo:



Athlon 64 3500 with GTS 8800 running XP SP3. Latest drivers installed. Any ideas?

Try reinstalling physx?

Yeah, looks like physx is out of date or not installed, or screwed up somehow.

Let the game install it, if you didn't.

I'm playing the game and I'm really enjoying it thus far. Definitely worth buying/playing, IMO.

01Boxer - I had a similar error message when I bought my new monitor this weekend and hooked it up (24", 1920X1200 res). I had to manually change the resolution in the .ini file and then the game worked perfectly.

Yeah, but it may be having issues with your resolution anyway? I would try inputting the resolutional manually, can't hurt...

I finally got it running. The problem was caused by an even older version of PhysX that was listed as AGEIA PhysX. It predated the nVidia acquisition!

Just wanted to post to say I'm well into the game (Chapter 3) and I'm loving it. Fantastic RPG, I'd fully recommend it to any RPG fan. I've only run into one tiny bug, and it didn't affect the game at all. Zero technical issues, which is almost surprising.

I found the technical polish of the game VERY surprising.

My copy arrived from play-asia... just started playing yesterday amid all the borderlands not-unlocked fiasco.

Completely. I was so busy actually playing the game that when I stopped to think about it, it surprised me. As in, 'Oh, this is what it's like playing a new PC game that works out of the box without numerous tweaks and patches and mods...' :D
