game no play good on widescreen monitor. i got 9800 it run on high, but have to run on 800x600 that make me mad. struggle on 1024 and 1280. |

THQ today announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is now Gold. Developed exclusively for PC, the game is scheduled to be released on March 23rd in UK Not far off now. |

Cool, looking forward to it. It might look a little outdated compared to the likes of Gears of War and such, but im sure it'll still be a good game :). |

Look at the third picuture here: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=86180&page=5 The textures and lightning are awesome imo. :o I can't wait to play the game this month!!! :D |

They certainly dont look bad thats for sure! The shadows are very nice, i just dont think they're quite up to some of the better looking titles availible at the moment. The models are quite a bit blockier than Gears of War too... (then again, everything looks bad compared to gears of war :)). |

Oh no ! ... bad news guys ... STALKER seems to have StarForce ... Jonelo posted this video proof (about 25MB) over on the nVnews forums ... http://members.chello.nl/g.vdweg/Proof.avi The proof is right at the beginning of the video ... It is the Russian release of the game but ... who knows if the rest of the world will have it too ... lets hope not !!! |

Most of the time games have different publishers and copy protection methods in different countries of distribution. No way to tell what they'll use out here, they used securom in Germany for Stalker. |
