I bought one ... whilst it's not in my main machine anymore and I bought it pretty much just for GRAW ... it enhanced it quite a bit and added to my enjoyment of the game ... even if GRAW wasn't the game I was hoping it to be. AMEN! I bought my system for GRAW when most people were waiting for DX10 cards. I also dont feel i've wasted my money. Totally with you Paddy. 8) but we digress.... any more news/screenies of Alan wake? |

And a poor quality one at that, at this rate. What could have been a great poster game for high-end PC graphics... is gonna be a console port. :( |

I knew it was overrated when I saw the first trailer. The graphics just aren't what they hyped it up to be and I'm not even sure I'll like the gameplay and story much. It's looking a lot like the same hype Heavy Rain got. They show you very high res faces and whatnot, then in the gameplay footage clips that aren't pre-rendered clips, which are typically only used in cutscenes, you see what it will really look like. For a game that is taking so long to make, it may go down as one of Remedy's biggest failures. To Remedy's defense, 5 yrs ago when the project was just getting started, there weren't as many publishers trying to push console titles so hard. With all the money Remedy spent on developing it, they probably realized it would be hard to do what they wanted to on PC from a financial standpoint. Still though, it would have been better to just make a dumbed down console version then later fund a full fledged PC version vs destroying it's potential entirely. Looks like all those E3 demos were kinda pointless. In fact, they may have just made things worse for them. |

Argh! I'm pissed. Still hoping for a delayed PC launch, and that it's all just marketing BS trying to get us to jump on the 360 bandwagon. |

Main reason this sucks is they fobbed off Max Payne 3 to make this thing and now they go and take forever on it and write off a PC release in the near future. I have no faith MP3 will be any good, and now I have no faith in this either. Bah. |

I have the reverse opinion, after GTA IV, I feel Rockstar proved if anything they can do just as good a job if not better than Remedy on MP3. |

Late reaction as I've been gone awhile... Dammit Microsoft! That pretty much sums it up... I don't really blame them for wanting everyone to switch to the Xbox, a platform they have full control over and on which development is easier... as a capitalist and such I don't blame them for doing what is best for their business. STILL, there are a lot of people, like me on some level, who will never be happy in that model and will just stop buying new games... why not cater to these people with a quick PC version? Whatever... done being mad about it a week or so ago, I just wanted to vent my frustration again. |

Very twin peaks/david lynch-esque. Got my collector's edition pre-ordered a few weeks ago and i don't even own a 360... (just going to borrow a mate's as I have to play this game). |
