My favourite box is my stalker:soc collector's edition metal case. Store my LiPo rc batteries in there.

My favorite collector's box is probably the Fallout 3 lunchbox thing, I just love that for some reason. Grand Theft Auto 4 has a great box for a normal game.

I feel like collecting old collector's editions of games I love sometimes. How my girl would hate me for that... ha.

Here's a quirk. The Steam client accesses all harddrives in a system when it starts up, and sometimes on updates as well. Regardless of which drive that the client and the games are actually residing on. I've been on the Steam forum and opened up a support ticket about this but with no result so far. Messy code irritates me even at times when my sleeping harddrives aren't woken up by it. ;)

Other than that I don't mind it so much when games I buy come with Steam as a requirement, but I don't usually buy games directly from Steam because they tend to be strangely expensive.

out of topic but had to say that letting the OS put standard hard drives (Not SDD) to sleep is a bad idea in general unless the computer requires it as a whole because it's running on battery

every "sleep" mode of a hard drive counts as a power off/on sequence and therefore reduce its life expectancy

Agreed, unless you are really concerned about electricity usage let your drives spin.

This holiday sale is a prime example of how steam gets you. I want to buy boxes but the present you with such amazing deals you can't not buy them.

Then again I pity the fools who unsuspectingly add Steam on top of the installation nightmare that is GTA4. Merry Xmess !

So I bought GTAIV partly because people always bitch about GFWL and this being one of those that were implemented poorly. I don't see it. If anything, Rockstar Game Social Club launcher thing is more annoying...

I don't have a problem with GFWL. The Rockstar Social Shit Sandwich on the other hand...
