Paddy has a fix for the take-downs and action sequences.

so hopefully I can use mixed settings if I turn down the physics and turn off the post processing.

Fortunately the game didn't suffer much from the "cross-platform curse". There is a setup tool that allows tweaking several graphics options, including postfx and physx. Along with the solid TH support I am pleasantly surprised.

Bravo, Eidos. Now please don't shackle the caped crusader with excessive DRM for retail.

I think we may need to turn our "TH Lobbying" efforts into a "Thank You Effort" for this one. One issue for them to fix. But overall, stellar conversion for a console title.

Agreed.

When I launched the game--fingers crossed--I had a brief moment of despair when the first playable moment came up in a 16x9 pillarbox. Then the boxes faded out to reveal the full TH fov. Very nice. :)

You going to post this up on the main page with some props to Eidos, Ibrin?

I thought the "opening curtain" fade into gameplay was nice and stylish. Honestly, I thought it was one of the best ways to move from cut-scene to gameplay. I did a Detailed Report here:

And yes, I will post on the front page and give props to Eidos. I'll post to Lobbying Central with a link to the proper Eidos forum as well.

Yeah good that there's lots of settings options GA because Eidos games are not known for getting patches.

Yes. Rather befitting for 'Bats'. Also great to hear Kevin Conroy voicing the character.

Now, I wonder when we get to see an open-world style Batman game ala GTA? If done right it could be simply awesome.

Fortunately the game didn't suffer much from the "cross-platform curse".

It joins DMC4 on my list of console ports that are actually decent. DMC4 runs really, really well - even on fairly low spec systems (Athlon64 socket 754 3400+, 2GB single channel RAM, 7900GTO...)

...

I've not tried this on a system that 'low'... but I'm quite excited about this game now.

Crosses fingers for non-intrusive DRM scheme.

It's on Steam for preorder with no additional DRM listed... though that has ended up misleading in the past.

I loved the demo... truly a great looking game, done well on PC, and featuring one of my favorite characters from my youth (thanks to the cartoon).
