Played the demo and it is a beautiful game. The level design is brilliant and when you insert the cogs and get all the puzzles and contraptions in motion it's breathtaking and you really feel a sense of adventure.

I would get it, but platform/adventure games just don't keep me coming back the same way an MMO or FPS does.

Trex on Legend??? O.o

I just got past the japan stage and im on the pretty stage that comes after (forget the name of it).

The drivers and things must have been fixed very well for this game since its release. With my system with everything max, I have had no problems playing the whole game with next gen content on. In the reviews and articles of the game, they said that certian areas (like japan) are totally unplayable with next gen on, even on a top notch machine.

I do get some slowdown, but its not game breaking, given the type of game it is. I will have to replay parts of the game with next gen off, just to see the diffrence and the frame rate boost.

I'll much look forward to this re-release and see if I can aquire it soon as I beat legend (need to uninstall it :P its like 8gb worth of game)

There are some parts of Legend that stutter even on my 8800GTS 640... mostly wide open areas with tons of water and other movement.

At what resolution?

1680x1050. It kind of pisses me off really, that game doesn't look anywhere near as good as ones I run butter smooth. I found that turning off reflections and shadows solves the problem, but what fun is that?

Maybe the 8800 drivers out for the kill yet again?

Im running max @ 1920x1080 and doing pretty well with it.

No stuttering just some noticable slowdown in super heavy effects areas.

you do have 2gb of sys ram right? and a decent cpu?

That's what I'm talking about I guess... The FPS drops like a stone in some heavy areas, going down... I would guess... to 20 or less. Turning reflections off solves the issue though, as I said. I think it's a water thing... all the areas were water-heavy and reflections would factor into water big time.

And yeah, I have 4GB or RAM (Vista only uses 3.3 of it though) and a core 2 duo... not one of the best ones, but a decent one.
