is it possible that my forceware 71.84 doesn't support opengl...?
no idea how and why you should know that, but it's the last possibility i can think of...


No... all forceware/nvidia drivers have supported OpenGL for ages.

You should also patch the game with the last official patch. (if you haven't already). Patches often have videocard related fixes in them.
