Looks really good, can´t wait either. Been looking forward to this one for quite some time like the rest. Nice to get a real look at the in-game engine.

Well, fileshack hardly ever have queues, the downloads always work, and they've got lots of up-to-date files. Nearly all free file services are full of spam and deceptive links and stuff. It's worth registering for (only takes 20 seconds :p) imho. Not paying for, though.

I have to admit...

I don't get it.

Graphically, yeah, this is very nice but I don't see what the game is all about. Is this going to be a puzzle/adventure game in the vein of Myst and Longest Journey? If so, I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.

So this backstreet boy guy is running around a small New England area town? Man, If I wanted to play this game, I would throw on a scarf and just walk around my neighborhood while looking mentally disturbed.

Why all the hype? What have you guys heard about the game that I am obviously not getting from the various trailers.

I can appreciate games like this (games that blur the line between games and movies/storytelling), but I don't get it.

Hehe. :p

If you've played Remedy's previous games, Max Payne and Max Payne 2, then I think you'd be excited about this. They both had very good stories, and amazing action sequences. It was basically like being in an oldschool John Woo movie like The Killer or Hard Boiled.

Alan Wake is taking a step in quite a different direction. Horror. There frankly are only very few games in this setting, and most of them aren't that scary. I guess Resident Evil is good, but only on the consoles. Ditto for Silent Hill, but the sequels kinda got a bit crap. Given the developers previous games, I think Alan Wake has loads of potential.
