Sweet Jesus, squ1zzy. D:

After a quick romp through Contact (the first level) it feels as if I've gained a few frames in some areas, overall gameplay slightly smoother. I've got a minimalist machine so I'm not expecting much, but it looks good.

Benchmark_CPU2 is lulz

I think they should have made the benchmark tool with a slower fly-through instead of what appears to be an equivalent of about 50 mph, which I guess would be about 80 kph. It ends up giving you about a 2 FPS less average than walking or running through the game on foot.

Still though it's the only way to get a consistent test to judge your gain/loss with after tweaking or patching. I noticed you pretty much have to run at least 4 tests and throw the first one out too, as the buffering of the first run results in way lower average FPS.

Yea, well, games are my life, so I spent alot of money to my systems. It all came when I bought the Dell 30" monitor. Using that resolution you have to have a good graphic card so I bought a 8800GTX. Since it doesn't run the most newer games proper on that resolution I bought a second one. Since I bought 2 8800GTX with 150GB Raptors in RAID0 I had to buy a good power-supply to. So I got myself a 1KW Cooler Master Pro.

It even runs Crysis on Medium with a proper 50FPS average, so i'm happy.

BTW: You don't wanna know the rest of the specs of my other systems

SLI users and Vista users seem to be the main beneficiaries of this patch. Single card users with XP not so much, at least according to the tests I've seen from two websites. But, individual users are posting about improvements with the patch.

One very annoying thing it does is disable the rag doll/blood mod, if you have it installed, which I do. Something about restrictions in Germany? Which is why some Crysis websites won't even link to the mod. I don't understand why restrictions in Germany dictate what the rest of us can play, but there you go.

By the way, if you want the very best mod yet created for Crysis, try this:

http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=15792&p=1

It's the Reality Enhancement mod by Solecist. He did Redux for STALKER.

I haven't tried the patch yet, I want to get in one play through without it first for comparison sake. Can anyone tell me if you can uninstall the patch without uninstalling/reinstalling the game? Some are saying the patch is worse than the stock game and I don't want to spend over a half hour installing/defragging the game again if I find that's the case.
