Widescreen Grade: A Ultra-Widescreen Grade: C Multi-monitor Grade: C 4k Grade: A Read Full Detailed Report - Assassin's Creed This is an adventure game in the spirt of the venerable Thief series without all the moral complications. Players combine stealth with exploration to maneuver their character into optimal assassinating position. Timing is the key to successful combat and survival. Cut-scenes have occasional "glitches" that open up special views and keep the player interacting with the game. The PC version has additional missions unseen in the console original. www.CheatHacker.com 4:3 16:10 16:9 21:9 3x1 |

I apologize about the framerate numbers. Fraps was having issues. The rendered cut-scenes that I used have a static/interference filter. |

Here are the rest of the resies that I confirmed the problem with. See the DR anomaly section for more details. You may be able to see it or you may not. If you want to test your res in-game it is most noticeable when moving across the stone pathways. Uh there is actually a huge problem under 1680x1050. I apologize for not finding this. I tend to spend a minimal amount of time in the lower resolutions when I am testing for problems. |

I find this interesting. Do we praise this kind of widescreen support? Yes. Anamorphic gameplay is unusual, but this isn't the first game to use it, and it is considered flawless. Anyway, I don't really understand what this glitch is all about. I can't see anything wrong with Tanuki's shots. But if the glitch only affects 1680x1050, but it's so bad that someone might not want to use their native res, then maybe we should grade this as if 1680x1050 was broken (1680x1050 users still have the option of using 1440x900 scaled up if their hardware is properly configured). B+, 100%. If Ubisoft fixes this bug, then certified. |

Patch was released today: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/7431011956 It's also up for the Steam version as well (auto-patches as you'd expect through Steam). I can confirm that (at least on my system) it fixes the pixelization issue that occurs at 1360x768 and 1680x1050. I can finally play the game at my native res now. :D |

Thanks. I will check 1680x1050 in a bit. There is a rendering problem with certain resolutions. Those confirmed include 1680x1050, 1360x768, 848x480, 720x576, and 720x480. The problem appears as an overlay that shimmers and distorts the image. If the screen is split diagonally from lower left to upper right the problem occurs on the right half of the screen. At lower resolutions the "overlay" can be seen as seperate horizontal bars. 1680x1050 1680x1050 1680x1050 |

The problem appears to have been corrected. There is some serious flickering on distant structures that I am now noticing. Perhaps I missed it before? |

Is this flickering related to resolution, or is it just there regardless of res? |
