Nicely done! What are the hex values you searched for?
I thought I had them with 68 58 02 00 00 68 20 03 00 00 (800x600), but it was not the right one.

Sorry for the late response!

I also searched for 68 58 02 00 00 68 20 03 00 00. But I only changed the first occurance (at position 0xA6290).

Don't forget to change the resolution in the game options :D

How did you do that? Can you post the link to some "how to" topic or something? I try to open commandos.exe in some hex editor and search for 68 58 02 00 00 68 20 03 00 00 but I didn't find anything. I don't know if I used the searching correctly. How search the pattern? ctrl+f and paste it there or this is wrong attitude?

I used for it the Free Hex Editor Neo.

How do you save the top and the right panel when changing the resolution? Why do I change the resolution to 1280x1024 instead of them black stripes.

I've created a little guide. It will answer all your questions (hopefully).

Has anyone got a hack/fix to wide-screen the Steam version of this game?
The hex values 68 58 02 00 00 68 20 03 00 00 don't exist in my commandos.exe

Thanks

Pedro
