I added the link. I am fairly certain that the patch does not include the console tweaks so I changed that to a second section. If it does please let me know.

Am not going to wait in line at Fileplanet. :D

Er wouldn't it be easier to use the vampire respatcher? I mean instead of a hex editor.. It works perfectly. You just enter your chosen resolution(s) and hey presto! Done. No fiddling about... Just a thought.

It does not work for me at all,I would kill to be able to play this game I paid for at 1920x1200.I tried the 'patcher' with .Net 3.0 and the 1.2 patch to NO avail !! :? :(

Any suggestions?

I just tried it with XVI32 Hex Editor and it worked,it now gives me the options of

848x480
1280x800
1366x768
1680x1050
1920x1200

:)

I just couldnt figure out how to work the hex editor properly !

1920x1200 with 2x AA,plus transparency AA,and 8x AF is smooth as butter ! And this with 44 tabs open in Opera in the background !!

The Source engine runs well on the 8800 GTS !!!

Thanks to all who helped write the hex editing stuff !

Glad you got it working.

Do not forget the two console commands.

Well, I liked it (the tutorial). It works! I guess I'll never understand, though, why someone tries to play video games which is where you solve problems yet can't afford to "unlock" wide screen mode "on hard difficulty".

Anyway, I have a new problem... when on 3rd person mode, the character seems to be focused more right than the camera. I look in front of me and press 'w' to go forward but my vampire goes right.
What did I miss?

EDIT: Nah, It's ok now. I figure the game sometimes loads things wrong. I just save often. Gosh, I didn't know I made so many grammar mistakes in my post until now.
