i updated the report and added high resolution screenshots, so they all match.
Widescreen support is simply great in this title.
BTW:
I played a bit with this game, and compared 1080 to 4kUHD and 8kUHD.
4k and 8k is of course simulated. (i don't have such display
)
Why i did this? Because AA doesn't work on everything. Chrome materials are pretty ugly for example. I wanted to see the results.
BTW, SSAO is pretty bad in this game, at least for my taste. It introduces easily visible flickering in shadows, probably because of low resolution.
Everything set to maximum. 16x CSAA + AA transparency: 4xsupersample in nvidia drivers. SSAO turned ON, look at those nasty shadows in true 1080p and ugly reflections on chrome materials. AA is turned off in 8K UHD.
1080 | 4K UHD resized to 1080 | and 8K UHD resized to 1080.
And here are screenshots from DR comparison. SSAO turned OFF.
1920x1080, 16x CSAA + AA transparency: 4xsupersample
3840x2160, 16x CSAA + AA transparency: 4xsupersample
7680x4320, No AA
You don't need 8K display
, if you want you can force SSAA in nvidiaInspector.
Now, i understand this is racing game, so you will not be paying too much attention to such details.
It was just an experiment.
