check this out!

ScrollPitchMultiplier = -1.00 (0.15 default)
DefaultCameraPitchAngle = 10.5 (37.5 default)

Quick question, are you using the shortcut parameters to set your resolution? I'm doing that to stretch the game screen to 3840x1024, and I've tried your edited Misc.big file, as well as using FinalBig to edit it myself, with no change to the view whatsoever.

I must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what it is.

You are also using the Misc.big in the /Core/1.0/ directory right?

The screenshots look great. I can't wait to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

cheers

A couple of words about setting the camera height.

First, it's per-mapfile. The camera pitch, yaw, min- and max-height are stored in the mapfile and so the camera behaves differently from one map to another. I believe there are no overall settings for the camera, although I'd prefer that to the current arrangement. I may be wrong, though.

A while ago I messed around with the Worldbuilder and found the camera settings (well, they're really not that difficult to find, they're on the general map settings page).

That's on maxcameraheight 1000 (I'm guessing the number's in feet). I tried to go even higher, but there seems to be a draw distance limiter somewhere in the game, since as I climbed even higher the screen would go black, starting from the distance and finally nulling the entire screen.

That's all I know so far.

Oh and I can confirm that this game runs fine on WQXGA res.

On a lighter note, anyone up for a multiplayer game? :) On hamachi?

only the lines ive posted ive edited, no other changes

desyncs? the settings shouldnt cause any desyncs

it seems that the misc.big ive posted probably is causing problems maybe cause of different versions? dont know, no feedback, so ill be removing the files, didnt mean to make it harder, intended to be as easy as copy and paste the file over..

i apologize

ill revise my 1st post

that would be nice..

since cameraheight can be changed via worldbuilder by editing the maps... whats worse is that DrawEntireTerrain remains @ No, no matter what

theres gotta be an option/switch that hinders from drawing the entire terrain, if someone could find it...

if DrawEntireTerrain @ Yes worx, C&C3 can look just like this,

ive edited 1 of the maps to 2000 cameraheight but its no better than,
ScrollPitchMultiplier = -1.00
DefaultCameraPitchAngle = 10.5
except that can zoom in/out ok

can anyone tell me how to set this game to 1360x768?
I've tried the shortcut method, but looks like no use at all.
Thanks!

I only know of using the shortcut parameters for non-native resolutions

eg.
-xres 3840 -yres 1024

(replace with your own X and Y)

Works for me. Only it's too bad the game crops the picture. (hence the "zoomed in" effect)
