I was curious so I tried opening it, in winamp I get nothing, in VLC I get audio only, what gives?

The video is VP6.2, you need Winamp 5.x to watch the video stream, Winamp 2 only supports VP3 (unless you copy the nsvdec_x.dll over from 5, which support is iffy then). Winamp3 (and it's gawdawful plugin system) support VP3 and VP6/6.1, but not 6.2, the latest revision for NSV.

So update, and as far as VLC goes, that doesn't support VP6 unless you install the DirectShow VP6 decoder.

So Cynagen, do you know why I can't get your channel to work on VLC on my Mac? Or did I just try it at the wrong time because I can't get it to connect.

Open http://vps.cynagen.com:11000/;stream.nsv with VLC, you should hopefully get picture. If you connect only to http://vps.cynagen.com:11000/ you'll get just audio. Also the server might be full, you can use the http://vps.cynagen.com:11000/ link to check the server capacity.

anywho I'm posting because I tried:
http://vps.cynagen.com:11000/;stream.nsv
in vlc v0.8.6f and still only audio, no picture.

As far as I can tell server ain't full, http://vps.cynagen.com:11000/ works with audio only too.

Any ideas how to get video working?

Yep, same here. I can't get any image. I do hear some sound but after a couple of seconds it gives me an error. :(

(This will address the issue with VLC) I'll be changing the system over to h264, Winamp users will need to hit my site to download the h264 plugin for Winamp NSV, but VLC should support natively.

Okay... So, I pulled out my big admin scalpel, and cleaned up this thread. I've edited a number of posts, and deleted some as well. For those who have never had a post edited, my apologies. I wanted to get this thread back on topic.

To add my 2cp, the WSGF is officially sponsoring this TV stream. We will be running WSGF ads between episodes. In addition, he is going to peel off some of the viewer slots and create WSGF TV. We are going to put all the videos we have in rotation there. Just another way to try and get the word out, and other way to attract more people.

My sponsoring is a partial thank you for Cynagen hosting our TF2 server. And from there he offered to make the WSGF TV channel. Thanks for that.

Cool, gonna try this tonight. Curious if it'll work. Thanks for the effort buddy. :)
