I've got 6 24" Dell monitors in a 3x 2 configuration. I'm using the Humanscale Paramount monitor arm to hold everything up. I'm actually waiting on Humanscale to ship out new arms that are 4 inches longer on each side. Their product, with it's original 16" arms, does not support 8 24" widescreen monitors. So, for now, I'm just using 6 screens.
Currently, I can't run 6 monitors on eyefinity. I don't have the 5870 with 6 mini DP ports, I have two 6870s, but I am looking into getting a Atlona Technologies AT-MDP14 1x4 Mini DisplayPort splitter. I'm hoping that will allow me to get 6 monitors onto one card and have some seriously sweet 3x2 eyefinity gaming going on. I'm waiting on a reply from Atlona to confirm whether their device can push 3 1920x1200 monitors or not.
Here are a couple shots of my desk from the first day I installed my monitor arm up to today.
:cheers and enjoy
Day 1: Two 21" Dell's and one 24" Dell-The top row of the monitor arm is hidden in this pic.
Here you can see the second row without monitors.
6 monitors prior to lowering the top row. I have a 3/4" gap between the two rows in this picture.
6 monitors with no gap between rows.
6 monitors lights out:
I haven't fine tuned the monitors to try and get rid of every crack between them. I'm waiting until I have all 8 monitors up before I do that.
