Jeremy and Norm from Tested on the new Pimax VR headset. Video starts right when they're discussing how a widescreen VR headset with higher FOV than a Rift or Vive may have issues with games not supporting the higher resolution and FOV properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuVWs9IZIvk&featur...

I haven't had the chance to dig very deep today, but I am pleasantly surprised to see that the Destiny 2 beta seems to mostly work well triple-wide out of the box. 5760x1080 was detected as my fullscreen resolution by default. The main menu is properly centered and completely visible. Character sele...

Yeah, can confirm that changing from Fullscreen Windowed to Fullscreen forces me back to a single screen too.

Seems like multi-monitor support is reasonably good at first glance. Defaulted to my triple-wide resolution in windowed fullscreen mode on first start. Intro has run flawlessly up until the point where you take control of the player character. I've only just gotten that far, so I can't say anything ...

Well, that's disappointing given that Deus Ex: Human Revolution had reasonably good multi-monitor support. Boo, I say, boo.

Boo, what happens when you select a triple-wide resolution?

Has anybody taken the plunge and tried it out yet?

*Edit: Oh, I see it's still an hour til it unlocks. Guess we'll find out shortly.

Here's that sweet, sweet screenshot candy at 5760x1080 using the game's Ultra video quality preset. It's totally unplayable for me at these settings on an old Radeon 7950, but it looks pretty. To actually get it playable I had to drop to 3840x720 with mostly low and medium settings and a lot of the...

Yeah, a single Radeon 7950 struggles to keep above 30 fps with everything medium/low even with the resolution dropped to 3840x720. Of course, the Radeon 7950 is getting pretty long in the tooth. Your mileage may vary if you've got something more modern.

Just had time to dip in and check it before work, but will add screenshots later if nobody else beats me to it. Looks like Armin1702 has already got it covered for 21:9 though.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see that the beta for Tom Clancy's The Division properly supports multiple monitors out of the box! Everything looks good so far: menus, HUD, and game play. There are a lot of options for scaling the HUD, but I didn't have to mess with any yet and it still looks good as is.

It took a little fiddling for me to get it working well enough to play on AMD cards in Eyefinity. At first I was on the old pre-Crimson Radeon drivers but would regularly crash out with a dialogue box saying the driver had stopped responding. I updated to the latest non-beta Crimson drivers but had ...

I didn't have any luck with the xbox360 controller method, but windowed borderless is certainly an improvement over fullscreen in Eyefinity.

Exact same results here on Eyefinity. The zoom on the left screen is actually pretty hilarious for a change. But, I'm surprised a game based on a recent Battlefield engine has these problems. Sad.

From the testing you've described it doesn't sound like an issue with the cable or the monitor, it's an issue with the laptop, as skipclarke suggested. Perhaps the GPU or motherboard only uses a 1.1 Displayport, which wouldn't be able to drive a 2560x1440 display at 144 Hz. One thing that you could ...

I don't know about that. I've always thought of UE as one of the least multi-monitor friendly engines and there are a bunch of games in which an ini edit wouldn't suffice and were only fixed by Widescreen Fixer or Flawless Widescreen. In fact, I don't think there's any vert- UE game that can be fixe...

Sadly, it looks like Unreal Tournament 4 and presumably anything based on UE4 will still be vert- by default. At least, the pre-alpha build of UT4 that's publicly available is vert-. Given how many games were built on UE3 and vert- without community fixes, that's pretty discouraging. Hopefully Epic ...

I still can't believe we're a month and a half since release and we still don't have Crossfire support for a AAA title...frustrating!
