NO NEED ANYMORE!!! Last nights patch fixed this (for Nvidia anyway, not sure of AMD). Character creation and cutscene distortions are no more!!!! Also, Anet centered the chat window and the team info, so it's no longer on the super far left!!! Thank you ArenaNet!!!

Well, it's smooth as ice now, so I don't want to mess with more settings...but I'm getting 40-50 FPS throughout the game.

Actually, I turned Shadows Quality from the "in-game" menu to lowest setting and that seemed to do the trick. I will say it's odd because I've always played it on Ultra with no problems...this developed "spontaneously"...thx for all the help.

Turning off Flawless Widescreen did not fix it. AA was already turned off. I'll test the lighting as I suspect that is the culprit. Will report back.

Drivers are up to date. If I don't use the widescreen fix then the game's menus and map are really screwed up.

Like most people I run into the occasional spikes of slowness in skyrim, but recently (may be patch related) when I go indoors (cave, buildings, etc) The game chugs so slowly for all intents and purposes, it freezes. Outside, NO problem and smooth as ice. I wouldn't say these indoor facades are grap...

CRAP, I could have sworn I deleted my post. Yes, I was wrong it is still all screwed up to hell in char creation and in game dialogue. Rest is fine for me (except Low FPS).

I may be imagining things, but character creation is fixed with this beta weekend...I need to check on the in game conversations...I'll do that and report back.

Ok this is pissing me off. Some videos like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFeE1uWGGxo&feature=relmfu His UI is in the middle monitor, I'm guessing he is using Nvidia. On my PC using eyefinity my UI is spread over all 3 monitors. Fuc%$&#@ AMD again !!! and i have a 7970 in the post heading my ...

I can confirm that character creation is very much broken on Surround, although it's just stretched real bad. It is not as bad off as Eyefinity. Map and menus work great in game and apart from the bad FPS it's great. Actually, conversation cutscenes are broken too.

Well, I tried triple screen and even on the lowest settings I was still getting about 15 FPS...when I tried to record with FRAPS I dropped to about 3 FPS (yes, 3 FPS). Therefore it's unplayable in Nvidia Surround. And before you ask, I have an i7, 6GB RAM and 2-460 1GB each in SLI...overclocked. I h...

First of all, thanks for the fixes!!!

Secondly, maps still aren't working...for me at least. I have NO map mods at all. The maps have been jacked up since day 1.
Am I the only one? Is there a fix I don't know about?

Are the maps working for anyone else? Mine were working perfect for 2 days and then something happened where they are all jacked up again. Not sure if it was the patch or not...I thought they were working after the patch though...

Here is a far better 4GB patch for us x64 users, easy to use: HERE People at Bethesda's Forums are having improvements with their gameplay with the patch. Also, thanks for the fShadowDistance=2000 tip, trying it now. A small handful of posters on other forums found success with tweaking that value ...

Ok, sweet, I've got it working. I had to reduce the rez to 4017x1024. Doing so, I'm able to keep the settings on high and stay above 30 FPS. I can tell a difference, but not enough for me to go back to single monitor or sell my cards for an upgrade. Here are some pics. http://steamcommunity.com/prof...

That's too bad. When I got the cards, I thought 1 GB was overkill and if not overkill would atleast future proof me a little bit. So now I'm spending a ton of time in Rift on one screen even though I have a Nvidia Surround set up :(

I'm frustrated and not sure what to do.

I have 2-460's 1GB each superclocked and when I run at 6020x1200 with my U2410's it's HORRID. When I change everything to medium settings, I'm still getting 19FPS. And if you don't know, medium settings blow! I'm really disappointed, I thought when I got the 460's 6 months ago they'd be somewhat fut...

I'm trying to get the game to run at 6028x1200 rez. It's Nvidia Surround (triple monitor, but not 3D). The possibility looks available thru the in-game settings however the selection for resolutions literally goes off the margin of the screen (on the bottom) and there is no way to scroll to it. So ...
