If you press number '-' BEFORE entering the map screen then it's rendered correctly.
Assuming you haven't changed the default keys in Hayden's fix.

Large combat text and name boxes are part of a bigger blizzard issue in WOW. You can use tidy plates to work around the nameplate issue. But you need to change a line of code, or in widescreen the plates will be incorrectly positions after they are refreshed.
